With over 30 years of experience of helping young children with hearing loss and language delays
Helen Moore Speech Pathologist
Helen graduated from La Trobe University in 1988, and has since worked in the UK and Australia with preschool and primary school aged children.
She has spent the last 30 years working with Aurora School Early Intervention assisting children who have hearing loss and a variety of developmental and medical difficulties and now also offers private speech pathology services.
A Certified Practicing Member of Speech Pathology Australia, Helen is passionate about working with children and their families.
Helen offers a family-centred approach to help support the needs of children, within their families and their communities. Helen likes to work as a part of a team to ensure the needs of the whole child are addressed within the settings of their family, school and community life.
All activities are underpinned by evidence-based research and are proven effective strategies. The skills we need to speak, acquire language, learn to read, and interact with people around us are all skills that can be practised through play, everyday family activities and as part of the school curriculum. Helen ensures parents are equipped with the skills and confidence required to build on the therapy session activities in home-based and other natural settings.
